I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and loved it here so much that after seven years away, living in various western and mid-western states I moved back to Bellingham, the home of my Alma mater (Western Washington University). I received my BA in Humanities from Western in 2010, my MS in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2017, and my Mental Health Counselor License (LMHC) from the State of Washington in 2019. I also received training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in 2017 during my graduate studies. In 2023 I relocated down to Kitsap County, the stomping grounds of my childhood.

Throughout my grade school years, many of my friends would come to me for advice on their problems. I never gave it much thought until years later, when I found myself in a master’s program for professional counseling. Life is an interesting, windy path that may take us to many places we have never thought of, and I have found, that people usually end up right where they need to be. For years I struggled to find a career that would speak to who I am and allow me to help others at the same time. I kept asking myself, ‘Why do people do the things that they do?’. I became a counselor specializing in the autistic brain and behaviors in order to help people answer that very question for themselves so that they can find lasting inner peace in their lives.
